Presentation Guidelines for Presenters

1. All presenters are required to register onsite at the Congress to receive their name cards.
2. Please report to the Presenter's Reception Desk in front of your scheduled Conference Room at least one hour prior to your scheduled Presentation time.
3. Unless you have been informed otherwise, 22 minutes has been allowed per Presentation. The breakdown of that time is as follows:
    Presentation time - 15 minutes
Discussion time - 5 minutes
Changeover time - 2 minutes
 

Some presenters have been given a special time allocation from the Chair of their Symposium.
It is up to you to confirm your allocated time with the Chair of your Symposium.
If you are unsure please contact the Chair directly.

4. All presenters are required to bring and use their own PC for their presentation.
  * Presenters must bring their own PC power adaptor.
  * Only a Mini D-sub15pin connector will be available on the day.
Please check that your PC is equipped with this terminal.
Bring the necessary connectors if your PC requires cables other than D-SUB15.
The Operation System provided in the conference venue will NOT support Macintosh PowerPoint.
Macintosh users are required to bring their OWN Macintosh computer.
 

Presentations will be via a single-screened PC only. OHP and slide presentations will not be possible.

5. Save your presentation data onto the desktop of your PC, and CLEARLY label the file with your Presentation number and surname i.e. S1-1 WHITE
6. Bring a back-up copy of your presentation data on CD-R or USB Memory Stick.
7. Set the resolution of your screen to XGA (1024 by 768 pixels) IN ADVANCE of your Presentation.
Circumferences of images larger than these dimensions will not be compatible.
8. Video images may be used if you are using your own PC.
Do not use sound.
9. Please be seated in the "Next Speaker" seat 15 minutes prior to your scheduled Presentation time.
10. Your PC will be placed on the podium and you will be able to move to the next slide using the keyboard.
11. At the conclusion of your Presentation please retrieve your PC and data from the PC Operator.
