  Internship Support System for Doctoral Students

  In order to raise advanced scientists and engineers who are capable of planning a project by themselves, of carrying out and of completing, expenses related to the internship is subsidized as follows. Students who wish to receive the support should check the following matters and apply to the Career Service Department.

  Internship here refers to what you gain working experience at an accepted company in and out of Japan; it excludes what you research at a university as a researcher, etc.

  Application Eligibility

  Those eligible for applying are the doctoral students enrolled in JAIST and they must fulfill all the following conditions:

  1. Those who have already accepted or are expected to be accepted by companies for internships
  2. Those who have not received the support in the past
     (The support is provided only once while in attendance at JAIST.)
  3. Those who continue their study in JAIST after completing internship;
  4. Those who do not receive any other subsidies (for example, the salary from the accepted company, etc. including transportation expenses) regarding the internship for which the support is requested
  5. Those who are recommended by advisors
  6. Those who carry Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (PAS), and Liability Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (LSR)

  Length of Internship

  Longer than 1 month but within 3 months (actual internship term excluding travel days).
