The international students who have completed their master's program play an active part world wide by continuing advanced education or being employed in Japan or overseas such as their mother countries. If you wish to work in Japan, you must take the same job search steps with Japanese students, which requires a superlative command of the Japanese language.
Most Japanese companies recruit new graduates on intensive search from winter to spring in the previous fiscal year of their graduation. The employment number and recruitment period are different depending on companies. Most students start job search activities a year and a half prior to their graduation, requesting company brochures and participating in briefing sessions. Then, they start applying to companies with an entry sheet. According to the instructions from companies, they will need to send a resume. If they have arranged for a written test and then been appointed an interview and pass it, they will receive an unofficial offer for the job position.
The Career Service Department offers career counseling, career support seminars, SPI trial examination, interview trainings and so on. Both international students and Japanese students can receive these services. Please make best use of them if you are planning to be employed after graduation.
