Career Counseling Support System for International Students
For the purpose of supporting international students in career development activities necessary for employment in a Japanese company, we provide support system as part of employment guidance for international students as follows. There is an increasing level of Japanese language proficiency required nowadays, which is expected to pass the N1 level.
Qualified StudentsThose who fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Should be an international student enrolled in JAIST as a regular student;
- Should be approved that the support certainly contributes to the employment of the applicant to a Japanese company.
1) Travel Expenses
- Travel expenses for going to internship or an employment examination in the company of Ishikawa prefecture, Toyama Prefecture, or Fukui Prefecture
- The support for going to employment examination limits on only those students who are in the last fiscal year students (2nd year of master's program and 3rd year of doctoral program)
- This support provides the minimum traveling expense required and only once per the fiscal year.
If the visiting company is one of the support companies, the travel expense will be provided up to three times during the fiscal year.

2) Language Examination Fee
- As for Japanese Language Proficiency Test and TOEIC (excluding SW and Bridge),one half of the fee is provided.
- The support for the language tests for this fiscal year is provided up to 3 times (per fiscal year).
