Long-Term Internship for Doctoral Students
JAIST has been currently undertaking the Post Doctoral Internship Promotion Program Fostering Personnel in Science and Technology Support Fund (Young Researchers Training Program for Promoting Innovation) (henceforth "this program").
This Program aims to foster top-level specialists who are capable of leading and managing research and technological development in companies, etc.
This fund provides the support for the researchers currently being employed for this Program and doctoral students, in order to carry out the long-term internship (practical research), for the purpose of implementing research and technological development in companies in and outside of Japan.
The support is as follows:
Application Eligibility
(Long-term internship here refers to what you gain working experience at an accepted company in and outside of Japan; it excludes what you research at a university or public research organizations as an academic researcher, etc.)Those eligible for applying are researchers employed for this program and doctoral students and they must fulfill all the following conditions:
- Those who have already accepted or are expected to be accepted by companies for internships
- As for doctorial students, those who continue their study in JAIST after completing internship
- As for doctoral students, those who are recommended by advisors
- As for doctoral students, those who carry Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (PAS), and Liability Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (LSR)
Longer than 3 months but within 9 months (actual internship term excluding travel days).
