Effective Registration MethodMultiple Advisor System Three advisors consisting of a supervisor, an advisor for the major research project, and an advisor for the minor research project are assigned to each student and provide guidance and advice on education and research. In addition, JAIST arranges Career Advisor System to give students guidance and advice on general learning activities.
JAIST adopts a quarter system by dividing each semester of the two semester system into two periods. This system enables students to complete courses effectively phase by phase in a short period of time. Lectures are offered mainly in the morning and "office hours" in the afternoon to let students have tutorial with faculty.
