|The student debriefing session of off-campus research in India was held on March 23, 2016 and 33 people have participated in the session.
JAIST is promoting the off-campus research in India for Japanese students as part of "JAIST-India Cooperative Programme for Frontier Scientists/Engineers with Global Sense" which is being implemented as one of MEXT Re-Inventing Japan Project 2014. The session was aimed to enhance students' interest in the off-campus research in India and hold as part of the safety lecture for the students who hope to participate in the off-campus research in India.
In the debriefing session, Mr. Takaaki Ueda, 2nd year doctoral student of school of Information Science and Mr. Tomohiro Ichiba, 1st year master's student of school of Information Science reported the outcome of their research, the lifestyle, and what they have learned in India. Mr. Ueda stayed in Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar and Mr. Ichiba stayed in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for 3 months. They gave advice for the students who hope to participate in off-campus research in India based on their experience.
