Visit by the Indian Ambassador to Japan
On September 30, 2016, the Ambassador of India to Japan, his Excellency Mr. Sujan Romeshchandra Chinoy and Mrs. Chinoy visited JAIST together with board members of Ishikawa Indian Association in his first visit to Ishikawa prefecture after assuming the post in December last year.
The ambassador had a talk with President Asano, Vice President Terano, Vice President Matsuzawa and Advisor to the President Kawanishi. After getting a brief introduction of JAIST, the ambassador met with students, faculty members and researchers from India, more than 30 in total. They enjoyed a frank talk covering a variety of topics.
Ambassador Chinoy expressed a great deal of interest in further development of the relationship between India and Japan with a special focus on the relationship between JAIST and Indian universities.
