3rd International Symposium on Intelligence Design (ISID 2023) is an international conference for researchers from various research fields to discuss about the potential future of artificial intelligence and design. This symposium aims to introduce the latest research findings by world-class researchers who lead innovation design and research, and discuss unexplored research areas in the field and the possibility of approaching new issues. ISID 2023 is supported by JAIST Co-AI Design Research Core and Creative AI Advanced Research Base, and the grant from Tateishi Science and Technology Foundation. ISID 2023 is a totally online event, is free to register. Registration link.
Important Date Poster Submission (only abstract): February 20, 2023 Registration: until March.8, 2023 Symposium: March. 13-14, 2023 Poster Submission (more details in CFP page) ISID 2023 invites the exciting work as poster presentation, and work-in-progress or partially finished work in design and AI related topics are also welcomed. Only abstract submission is required without manuscript. As an open symposium, ISID 2023 will provide opportunity for experience sharing rather than publication record. We will provide the Best Poster Awards for best poster presentations. All submission must be submitted electronically to EasyChair. EasyChair CFP https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=isid2023ISID 2023 will invite the keynotes and invited speakers from wide range of research fields in Computer Graphics, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence and Design.
Xu Zhen is a Professor of Architecture at Tianjin University. His main research fields are computational design and fabrication, generative computation, kinetic design and graphic algorithms. He is currently teaching a design studio on ‘generative design’, focused on advanced design computation methods by using Grasshopper, Processing, and other coding languages. His seminar course ‘Architectural Graphic’ introduces mathematical theory for discovering graphic principles in contemporary architecture.
Bernd Bickel is a Professor at IST Austria, heading the Computer Graphics and Digital Fabrication group. He is a computer scientist interested in computer graphics and its overlap into robotics, computer vision, machine learning, material science, and digital fabrication. His main objective is to push the boundaries of how digital content can be efficiently created, simulated, and reproduced.
Hideyuki Takagi received the degrees of Bachelor and Master from Kyushu Institute of Design in 1979 and 1981, and the degree of Doctor of Engineering from Toyohashi University of Technology in 1991. He was a researcher at Panasonic Central Research labs in 1981 - 1995 and a visiting researcher at UC Berkeley in 1991-1993 hosted by Prof. L. A. Zadeh. He had worked for Kyushu Institute of Design in 1995 - 2003 as an Associate Professor and for Kyushu University after then because of merge of two universities in 2003. He retired from Kyushu University in March, 2022, and is now Research Professor in 2022FY and Professor Emeritus.
