Education Program
1. Each two-month term, consisting of two intensive lectures a week on each subject enable students to acquire expertise in a short time.
2.To make it more convenient for students, more than a dozen courses are offered during the two terms.
3.Lectures are held in the morning, with afternoons set aside for office hours, enabling instructors to interact with students and respond to their questions. In addition, web-based lectures allow students to participate in lectures without having to enter a classroom. The school network gives students access to all lecture material and contents, as well as to the video of the instructor presenting the lecture.
4. The school system enables students to acquire knowledge in natural science, information science, and social science
5. Students may take courses outside of their major.
6. Students conduct research on a main and a sub theme in order to broaden their range of research experience.
7.The school's "Research Proposal System" gives students ample opportunity for deliberation and planning before they embark on their research.
8. The school uses "instruction by multiple supervising instructors" in which each student works with three faculty members.
9. Introductory courses minimize differences in basic knowledge among students as result of the differences in academic backgrounds and professional experience.
10. Master's students with superior research performance have the option to shorten their study period from two years to one year. Doctoral students have the option to complete the program in one or two years, rather than in three.
