Abstract:
My project of MSc was basically about building a novel pointing device
capable for detecting 3D coordination, while retain a good 2D tracking
performance comparable with traditional devices such as mouse and
touchpad. Besides, the additional coordinates obtained from the device
was used to recognize commands from users' gestures.
The problem is, how to determine the meaning of various gestures? Or
more fundamentally, how do we understand others from their actions?
Latest researches revealed that Mirror Neuron System (MNS) seemed the
missing gap between behavior and language, but is it promising?
The presentation will include a brief description of My MSc project
and a review about the role that MNS playing in communication process.
