Onigiri Festival
おにぎりの里フェスティバル
Rokusei-Machi, Southern Notobe in the Reishikan building
鹿西町能都部下、励志館
In this village in the 2000 year old ruin's of Sugimoto Chanobatake have been excavated the oldest onigiri in Japan. The festival celebrates the history and culture of the Noto area.

A lively open-air gathering of people living in the Nanao area. Sumo and many other events.

Kaki Hakko Festival
柿八講祭

能都町日吉神社
Persimmons are offered at Hiyoshi Shrine to pray for abundant harvest. Participants receive persimmons.

Idori Festival
いどり祭
Noto-Machi, Ukawa Sugahara Shrine
能都町鵜川菅原神社
A humourous festival which involves one group of men making the round flat mochi for the town festivalwhile enduring the jeers (idori) of the other men. The gods must then intervene to settle the quarrel.

Tedori Sake Festival

Mikawa Culture Hall
美川町文化会館
The Tedori River, with its source on Mt. Hakusan, is Ishikawa's biggest river. There will be various events and exhibitions showing the culture, history, and crafts of this area. Also, a sake (that's salmonnot wine) at the Culture Hall.

The 14th Annual Shishiku Hang/Paragliding Festival

Bokko Matsuri
(Byoei Matsuri)
ばっこ祭り
Rokusei-machi Notobu Shrine
鹿西町能登部神社
After a light meal, there is shinto dancing, singing and purification ceremonies. A sacred dragon is then paraded. No talking is allowed.

Mid November

Uchihisumi Agriculture Festival
内日角農業まつり
Uchihisumi Public Hall, Unoke-machi
宇ノ気町内日角公民館
Many attractions including contest for best farm products, a Janken contest, and rolling a giant nori-maki. Also turkey soup, Ponkashi, & tsukemono.

November to March

Bird Migration
白鳥等の飛来
Ochigata and Katasaki-hashi, Hakui-shi
邑知潟・潟崎橋、羽咋
Observe swans, herons, ducks, and other birds in their natural habitats.
