Recommendations from JAIST Teachers
Upon entrance, students with recommendations from JASIT teachers receive preferential assignment to the laboratories they select at the entrance examination.
To become eligible for a recommendation from JASIT teachers, students are required to submit letters of recommendation from their advisors at the university or technical college where they are currently enrolled to teachers of the School of Materials Science, or letters of recommendation from the teachers of the laboratory they wish to be assigned, with their application to the School of Materials Science.
Students accepted to JAIST on the bases of recommendations will be given an opportunity to change the laboratories they have selected within a certain period of time, generally six months, after enrollment.
