JAIST International Symposium on

Nano Technology 2002

-Second Circular- September 13-14, 2002 at Ishikawa, Japan

Preface & Conference Scope

In recent years we (Center for New Materials, CNM) have advanced several International Collaboration Projects on Nano Technology Researches at JAIST. In addition, from the April 2002, CNM will re-start as Center for Nano-Materials & Technology, (CNMT), where we begin a new class of research and development as well as an education of Nano Technologies. Based on the movements, we plan to have a New International Symposium relating to entire Nano-technologies. general The purpose of this symposium is thus twofold as below;

1) Open the results of International Collaboration Projects for Nanotechnology Researchers in Hokuriku area.
2) Make an opportunity in which (local) Nano Technology Researchers can get together and discuss their recent results with each other.

So that, all related people who are engaged in nano- science and technology in physics, chemistry, biology, metrology and mechanics at University, Institute and Industry are encouraged to submit abstracts and attend the symposium. This could be a first Nano-Technology International conference at Hokuriku area in Japan.

Academic Program

The conference site is Ishikawa High-Tech Center located close to JAIST. The symposium will consist of Oral and Poster sessions. All presentations by the invited speakers are scheduled in Oral sessions and general contributions will be presented in poster style. Conference language is English.
