Following PDCAT'00 in Hong Kong, PDCAT'01 in Taipei, PDCAT'02 will be held in Kanazawa, Japan. We are inviting new and unpublished papers on, but not limited to, the following topics: Networking and Architectures: - Interconnection networks - Computer networks - Parallel/distributed architectures - Communication and telecommunication - Heterogeneous and multimedia Systems - Wireless networks and mobile computing - ATM networks - Optical networks - Reliability and fault-tolerance - Security Software Systems and Technologies: - Formal methods and programming languages - Parallelizing compilers - Internet computing - Web technologies - Component-based and OO Technology - Operating systems - Modeling and simulation - Performance evaluation and measurements - Tools and environments for software development - Visualization Algorithms and Applications: - Parallel/distributed algorithms - Resource allocation and management - Task mapping and job scheduling - Network routing and communication algorithms - Distributed data and knowledge based systems - Neural networks - Image processing and computer graphics - Database applications and data mining - High-performance scientific computing - Biological/molecular computing PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Papers reporting original and unpublished research results and experience are solicited. Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Submissions should include an abstract, key words, the e-mail address of the corresponding author, and must not exceed 15 pages, including tables and figures. Submissions imply the willingness of at least one author to register, attend the conference, and present the paper. Submissions to PDCAT'02 will be conducted electronically. TUTORIALS/WORKSHOP Workshops/special sessions and half-day tutorials are being planned for PDCAT'02. Each workshop will focus on a particular topic, and consists of several presentations and open discussion. A one-page abstract of each workshop presentation will be published in the conference proceedings. The proposal for a workshop/special session should include the title, topics covered, proposed/invited speakers, and estimated length (hours) of the workshop. Each tutorial proposal should provide the title, topics, targeted audiences, and instructor's biography. Anyone wishing to organize a workshop/special session or tutorial should submit a proposal by June 1, 2002 to the conference address (preferably via email) listed above.
