■研究課題
複雑システムの数学的モデリングとコンピュータ・シミュレーション
個々の現象あるいはそれらの複合体をシステムとしてモデル化し，シミュレーションや数学的思考を経て，よりよい方向を示唆すること。元来は機械・力学系の制御問題に取り組んでいたが，人間を含むシステムに対しては理論の適用が困難であることに直面し，最近はシステムモデリング，シミュレーションにおける，対話的かつ知的支援の方法論およびそのコンピュータシステムの開発に興味をもつ。現在の具体的テーマは，(1)大規模複雑系のモデリングとシミュレーション，(2) 地球環境政策立案支援のためのシステム開発，(3) 日本的システム方法論の開発，などである。
