Medical Data Mining from Multi-Sources
This research focuses on discovering new and useful medical knowledge from the historical data of patients. This discovery of knowledge relates not only to methods involving temporal data but also to methods involving existing knowledge or expected knowledge from the application domain. First, the research is based on data-mining methods for different data/information sources; these methods include temporal abstraction, information extraction from medical articles, and knowledge acquisition from medical experts. Then, the research is based on integrating these methods into the discovery process.
