SC09

The SC Conference is the world’s biggest international conference on HPC (high performance computing) related matters, having research presentations and exhibits about the technology and the products necessary for HPC and its operation. The conference started spontaneously among researchers at American national institutes. The first conference (SC1988) was held in Orlando, Florida. The SC Conference originally focused on the HPC fields, however, increasing the importance of networking and storage in the HPC, the official name of the conference was changing as added “Networking” to the original name in 2002 and added more “Storage and Analysis” in 2004. The official name now is “The International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis.”
