I receive several hundred unsolicited emails every day, and it's on the rise. In order to minimise the distraction, I use 3-layer spam filtering: currently IronPort combined with an adaptive filter. The largest block of these emails is caught at server level and I have elected to never let them reach my client. The second largest block consists of presumptively positives and they go directly to my trash folder with little or no indication to me. The smallest block gets flagged and automatically deleted with some amount of indication to me. I have diligently kept track of this process for several months now and there has not been any false positives. I shall therefore rely on the process for the time being, with the occasional check of the deleted emails. I apologise if you have sent me email that has gone unanswered, and I ask for your understanding by either re-sending the email (e.g., with a personal touch, such as a name, added to the subject line) or by contacting me by other means.
