Lecture Rooms: Free for use from 8:30 to 17:00 Weekdays until April 11 (Not available from April 12)
J-BEANS: Weekdays, 8:30 to 22:00 (Student ID card required to unlock after 20:00)
JAIST Library: 24 hours
Account/password and Surface (only for applicant) that required for online will be given after checking your student ID card on the designated date of April 5(Tue.) or April 6(Wed.). Designated date will be informed by email.
If you wish to borrow a Surface, please confirm in advance the Terms and Conditions for Borrowing a Tablet PC, which will be distributed with your Student ID card.

Thoroughly follow infection control measures such as "avoid the three Cs", "keep a safe distance from others", "wear a mask", and "wash hands and use hand sanitizer".

Fill in "Travel History, Body Temperature & Symptoms Recording Sheet"
【All new students】
In order to prevent spread of infection of coronavirus/COVID-19, you should take care of your health and also take intensive measures to protect yourself from infection in a daily life.
All new students should take a body temperature every day from March 25 and fill in "Travel History, Body Temperature & Symptoms Recording Sheet” (hereinafter referred to as ”Recording Sheet”).
※We will check the "Recording Sheet" when handing the student ID card. (For Ishikawa campus students)
If you have symptoms such as fever or coughing before arriving at JAIST, please contact the nearest medical institution and follow the instruction. If you have symptoms such as trouble breathing, strong lethargy, or high fever OR continuing light cold symptoms such as fever or cough for 4 days or longer, please call your primary care doctor or the Ishikawa Prefecture Consulting Center for the Fever Patients for consultation and follow the instructions.

Until classes start, you should take intensive measures to protect yourself from infection such as washing your hands with soap frequently, gargling, and observing "coughing manners" such as wearing mask, coughing or sneezing into your sleeves. Also, you should avoid unnecessary, urgent outings【※】, and please do not go to a place where people gather for long time.

Cafeteria: 11:00 to 20:00 Weekdays
New Yamazaki Daily Store: 8:00 to 20:00 Weekdays, 9:30 to 17:00 Weekends and Holidays
Gymnasium: 9:00 to 21:00 (Reservation required. Please refer this for more information.)

【Students at Ishikawa Campus】
・Student ID Card
Student ID card will be given along with account, password and Surface on the designated date of April 5, Tuesday, or 6, Wednesday. JAIST Student Housing residents will be able to get the card during the moving-in procedure at the counter from April 1.
*New students cannot use JAIST regular shuttle buses in March, 2022.
Please use NOMI BUS, public buses, to reach from TSURUGI and JR NOMINEAGARI Station to JAIST in March.

・JAIST Shuttle [Tsurugi line]
When you use JAIST Shuttle [Tsurugi line], you have to show your student ID to a driver. No reservation necessary. New students without student ID cards should follow the procedures to ride on the shuttle bus. Please email the recording sheet to the Student Welfare Section at gakusei@ml.jaist.ac.jp two days beforehand to get the confirmation. You will receive the sheet returned with confirmation seal, then you may show it to the shuttle bus driver for the ride.

When you use JAIST Shuttle [Komatsu Line], you have to make a reservation on JAIST Shuttle Demand System. For the usage, please show your student ID card in the same manner as JAIST Shuttle [Tsurugi Line] usage.
