IEEE Communication Letters only accepts those papers describing new innovative techniques/concepts and their performance verification through theoretical proof.  The maximum page length is 4 pages only, and hence the manuscript has to be very highly elaborated.  According to an impact factor evaluation organization, Eigen Factors, IEEE Communication Letters is at the 7th place in difficulty among many international journals/forums for publications based on institute of science index (ISI) category of “Telecommunications.”  Please see here for more details.

The fact that the papers summarizing results of the research work conducted by the Master program students have been accepted for the publications in IEEE Communication Letters clearly indicates that the level of the research work conducted in Information Theory and Signal Processing Laboratory of JAIST is at a world class level.  The author’s versions of their journal papers can be downloaded from the repository of JAIST Library.  Both Mr. Ade Irawan and Mr. Xin He are continuing their research work under the JAIST doctoral program now.
