The Reopening of Tokyo Satellite

Since the state of emergency imposed by the government due to COVID -19 has been lifted, we have decided to resume operations of the Tokyo Satellite in stages. For the time being, we will shorten the opening hours of the Tokyo Satellite and restrict the use of facilities in order to protect the health and safety of all the students and faculty members and prevent the spread of infections. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
The lectures in Term I and II will be delivered online.

1 Opening hours and use of facilities
<June 1 (Mon.) - June 18 (Thu.)>
10:30 - 16:00 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and national holidays.
- You may borrow books or receive certificates at the reception but you must reserve/request them online in advance.
- You may not use the lounge or library.

To avoid three Cs, reservation is required. There are restrictions on available space, time and number of users. Please make a reservation at least two days in advance by sending an e-mail including the following information.

- JAIST faculty members may use the Tokyo Satellite for meetings with students.

2 Others
For time being, all members at JAIST are advised to take preventive measures such as wearing a mask, washing hands and getting up-to-date information. Also, please refrain from going to a crowded place where ventilation is poor or attending such seminars, meetings, and gathering, etc.
Updates on these measures after July 10 will be announced later.
