6月25日のDGGLには2名の学生が参加し、アシスタントとの少人数での対話が行われました。
今回からは、新たに“exemplar”（例文）を事前に準備し、それを基に研究の構造を明確化するアプローチが導入されました。

学生は例文を活用して、自分の研究分野・テーマ・目的を短時間で的確に伝える練習を行い、その後、リサーチクエスチョンや手法との一貫性を保ちながら深掘りしました。
ファシリテーターとのやりとりでは、難解な用語の言い換えや、より抽象的な視点への変換にも挑戦しました。

参加者からは、「例文によって語り口が整理された」「専門用語と一般的な言葉のバランスが大切だと気づいた」などの声がありました。また、一人の学生は、この手法を使ってスタートアップの事業提案書を改善したいと意欲を見せていました。

DGGLでは今後も、学生の研究伝達力を高める工夫を重ねながら、社会とのつながりを意識した発信力を育てていきます。

On June 25, two students participated in a DGGL session that introduced a new approach: preparing a structured exemplar sentence in advance to clarify their research structure.

Using the exemplar as a foundation, students practiced communicating their academic background, research theme, and purpose in a concise and coherent manner. The session focused on ensuring logical alignment between their research overview, question, and methodology. Students were also guided to abstract their ideas and make their narratives more relatable.

Feedback highlighted the value of the exemplar in simplifying and clarifying complex ideas. Students appreciated how it helped balance domain-specific terms (like “phosphorus”) with more accessible concepts (like “glowing in the dark”). One student noted that the strategy could be applied to a start-up proposal to refine key messages and select precise verbs.

This session reinforced the importance of structured tools and shared language in strengthening science communication and bridging research with a wider audience.
