The June 11 DGGL session brought together four participants for a cross-disciplinary exchange, including one PhD graduate. They were divided into two groups to ensure diverse perspectives and backgrounds in each discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each student presented a one-minute overview and a four-minute deep dive into their research or topic of interest, followed by questions and feedback from peers. These exchanges helped students articulate their ideas more clearly and reflect on their research from new angles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A particularly striking moment came when the PhD graduate explained her research using a central keyword, clearly connecting it to broader social issues.
Her presentation highlighted how effective science communication depends not only on language skills, but also on a deep understanding of the research and its social relevance<\/strong>.
In other words, being fluent in English does not automatically lead to strong communication \u2014 clarity comes from content, not just vocabulary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the assistants, this session reaffirmed the importance of structure, clarity, and relatable examples in communication. It encouraged all participants to think critically about how to communicate research to different audiences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
