人間と人間・人間と機械のコミュニケーションのサポート技術
人間と機械の学習と協調知能を実現するための
人工知能技術の研究と開発を目指しています 。
We aim to research and develop artificial intelligence technologies
to support human-human / human-machine communication
and foster successful human machine learning cooperation
of the better future of collaborative intelligence.
The International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, & Signal Processing (ICASSP), is the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS)’s flagship conference
on signal processing and its applications. This 48th ICASSP is the first post-pandemic edition, celebrating the return to an in-person experience and
the 75th anniversary of SPS. It was held on the Greek island of Rhodes from June 04 to June 10, 2023, with more than 4000 participants, of which more
than 3700 were in-person. HA3CI-Lab presented two research papers. More information on our paper publications is available here here.
"JAIST-UI-ITB Human Information Science Hub: Toward Multimodal Human-AI Communication in Society 5.0" is a science hub between researchers and academia in
Japan and Indonesia to share achievements and challenges in developing innovative technologies achieving human-AI communication related to natural language processing,
speech processing, image processing, and multimodal interaction. More information on our activities is available here.
JST Sakura Science Program (SSP) is a program that invites talented young foreign human resources from around the world for short-term visits to Japan,
giving them the opportunity to experience both Japan's cutting-edge science and technology, and culture. This year (2023), we join the program and invite two lectures and ten students from Bandung Institute
of Technology (ITB) and University of Indonesia (UI) for collaborative research activities on the development of artificial intelligence
in spoken language processing that support human-to-human or human-to-machine communication (Exchange program: January 5th-25th, 2023; Online program: January 26th-March15th, 2023).
More information on our activities is available here.
Despite the fact that speech is the most general form of human communication, the appeal of speech technologies has been inhibited by their limited availability and accessibility.
This workshop aims to highlight research that will make speech technologies more inclusive and useful for all, and believe that this workshop will provide a platform to address
and highlight the social problems of incumbent speech systems. More information on the "Speech for Social Good (S4SG)" Workshop is available here.
The HiTZ (Basque Center for Language Technology) hosts a webinar series on Language Technology with talks by key researchers in the field.
More information on the HiTZ Webinar Series is available here.
As part of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2022 Special Track on ITCs and Indigenous Languages, WSIS, UNESCO, in collaboration with other stakeholders (including Nokia and ISOC) are co-organizing an online hackathon inviting all interested stakeholders to ideate and create ICT solutions that contribute to the intergenerational transmission,
preservation, revitalization, and promotion of Indigenous languages.
More information on the hackathon is available here.
Babies learn their first language through listening, talking, and interacting with adults. Can AI achieve the same goal without much low-level supervision?
The workshop aims to connect researchers in self-supervision inside and outside the speech and audio fields to discuss cutting-edge technology, inspire ideas and collaborations, and drive the research frontier.
More information on the AAAI-SAS Workshop is available here.
The workshop is held every two years and has a tradition of bringing together researchers from academia and industry in an intimate and collegial setting to discuss problems of common interest in automatic speech recognition and understanding.
More information on the ASRU 2021 is available here.
The workshop is organized by Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Delhi, India. It aims to serve as a forum for discussion on the state-of-the-art research, development, and future trends of AI and machine learning for speech and natural language processing.
