[NOTICE] Report of the mail service failure due to the system failure on Sep. 30


We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the system failure that occurred on Sep. 30.
We would like to report on the mail service failure and the current status.

1. Stop services of incoming mail (POP/IMAP) and Webmail
Affected Time: 2022/09/30 (Fri.) 7:50 - 2022/10/02 (Sun.) 15:00

2. Stop service of outgoing mail (SMTP)
Affected Time: 2022/09/30 (Fri.) 7:50 - 2022/10/02 (Sun.) 15:00

Currently, clients with IPv4 addresses are unable to send email from the off-campus network.
Please send emails via SSL-VPN connection or use the Webmail service until the service is fully restored.
The service is fully restored on 2022/10/05 (Wed.) 9:30.

3. Delay of email delivery
Affected Time: 2022/09/30 (Fri.) 7:50 - 2022/10/02 (Sun.) 16:00

4. Lost emails
Sent or received emails may have been lost during the following time.
If you have sent or are likely to have received important emails, please resend the emails, or ask the sender who may have sent it.
Affected Time: 2022/09/30 (Fri.) 7:50 - 16:00

5. Stop service of the Mailing List System
Affected Time: 2022/09/30 (Fri.) 7:50 - 2022/10/02 (Sun.) 20:15

We have recovered the system using the configuration files as of 0:00, Sep. 30 (Fri.), 2022.
Therefore, the settings that were modified between 0:00 and 7:50 on Sep. 30 (Fri.), 2022 were discarded.
If you modified the settings of a mailing list address during this time, please modify the settings again.
The mailing lists such that numbering is used in the subject line were reset to their numbers as of 0:00, Sep. 30 (Fri.), 2022.
