VPN機器更新のお知らせ
情報社会基盤研究センターでは下記の通り現行VPN機器を新VPN機器に更新する作業を行います。
利用者の皆さんにはご迷惑をおかけしますがご協力をよろしくお願いします。
なお，この件に関してのお問い合わせは情報社会基盤研究センター(isc-query@ml.jaist.ac.jp)までお願いします。

作業対象：現行VPN機器と新VPN機器
https://vpn.jaist.ac.jp/ (電子証明書認証)
https://vpn-sso.jaist.ac.jp/ (ワンタイムパスワード認証)
作業内容：VPN機器の更新(現行VPNから新VPNへの置き換え)
更新時間帯における影響：
- 旧VPN接続中のセッションはログアウトするまで通常どおり使用できます。
- 作業時間後の新規ログインから新VPN機器に接続されます。
新VPNで変わる点：
- 認証方法が統合認証(JAIST-SSO)となります。
- ログインURLが "https://vpn.jaist.ac.jp/" に統一されます。
- 認証後の利用方法は従来と同様です。
Android, iOSでの変更点：
- VPNアプリ(F5-Access)の設定を1か所確認する必要があります。
-- メニューから[構成] → [vpn.jaist.ac.jp] と進みます。
-- 接続先サーバは"https://vpn.jaist.ac.jp/"としてください。("https://vpn-sso.jaist.ac.jpではありません)
-- [ウェブログオン]にチェックを入れ保存します。
- 認証時に毎回ユーザ名とパスワードの入力が求められるようになります。
初回接続時の注意点：
- 初回VPN接続はエラーメッセージを表示して失敗する場合があります。
- 次の手順で対処してください。
-- エラーメッセージのポップアップウィンドウを閉じます。
-- 「アプリケーションのステータスの待機」のウィンドウを閉じます
-- VPN装置からログアウトします。
-- Webブラウザを再起動します。
-- 再度VPNにログインし，VPN接続をしてください。

This is to inform you that we will maintain VPN facility at the following schedule.
The details of maintenance;

* Date: Friday 2 Apr. 2021
* Time: 11:00 - 12:00, JST
* Maintenance summary:
* Replacement of VPN facility.
* "https://vpn.jaist.ac.jp/" (Digital Certificate Authentication)
* "https://vpn-sso.jaist.ac.jp/" (One Time Password Authentication)
* Impact during the update time period
- Sessions in the old VPN connection can be used as usual until you log out.
- The new VPN device will be connected from the new login after the working time.
* What will change with the new VPN
- The authentication method will be integrated authentication (JAIST-SSO).
- The login URL will be unified to "https://vpn.jaist.ac.jp/" .
- After authentication, the usage method is the same as before.
* Changes on Android and iOS
- You need to check settings of the VPN app (F5-Access).
-- From the menu, go to [Configuration] -> [vpn.jaist.ac.jp].
-- The destination server should be "https://vpn.jaist.ac.jp/" (NOT "https://vpn-sso.jaist.ac.jp/").
-- Check [Web Logon] and save it.
- You will be required to enter your username and password every time you authenticate.
Note for the first time connection:.
- The first time you connect to the VPN, it may fail with an error message.
- Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
-- Close the error message pop-up window.
-- Close the "Waiting for application status" window.
-- Log out from the VPN device.
-- Restart the web browser.
-- Log in to the VPN again, and make a VPN connection.
