Objectives and Topics

IUKM2020 is the eighth edition of The International Symposium on Integrated Uncertainty in Knowledge Modelling and Decision Making (IUKM), of which its main objectives are outlined as follows:
  • to bring together researchers working on uncertainty formalisms in information and knowledge systems;
  • to attract researchers working in social sciences (economics, business, management and environmental sciences) and engineering who are interested in applying uncertainty-related tools and techniques;
  • to bring together researchers and practitioners in order to foster the collaboration on research and application involving uncertainty management; and
  • to present and discuss open research problems and novel applications.
Proposal for special sessions and workshops is encouraged and welcome.
Relevant topics for the IUKM 2020 Symposium include (but are not limited to) the following:

Paper Submission and Publication

The authors are invited to submit their full papers by July 12, 2020 July 27, 2020 (firm deadline). The submissions will be peer-reviewed for originality and scientific quality. As done in previous editions, the proceedings of IUKM 2020 will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series, and be available at the Symposium. Authors are requested to prepare their papers in the Springer format. Submissions should not exceed 12 pages and must be submitted as PDF electronically through the conference's Easychair submission page. Please visit here for details.

IUKM 2020 Special Issues will be announced on this page later. Special Issues of previous IUKM conferences (IUM 2010, IUKM 2015, IUKM 2016, IUKM 2018) have been/will be published in Annals of Operations Research and International Journal of Approximate Reasoning.
