About Yoshitaka Laboratory

We acquire large amount of information from vision.

In these days, recording videos digitally and sharing them by distribution are becoming common on individual/company basis, since information infrastructure has been gradually established.

Beside the fact that the amount of personal / company-owned visual information is increasing, multichannel digital broadcasting and internet broadcasting are also becoming popular - accessible visual information is increasing rapidly.

On the other hand, because there are still issues left on how we can index visual information for easier search and access, few information retrieval and indexing technologies are put into practical use.

We aim to build a framework on easier handling of visual information through the lens of affective computing and human computer interaction.
