| Jan. 07 | Due to the heavy snowfall expected today and tomorrow (Jan. 7/8), the information counter may be closed. In this case, we will not be able to accept applications for one-day use and the library user’s card. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |
Restriction on Use of the Library for Inventory
The inventory will be conducted as below. During the inventory, we will restrict access to the shelves partly for a fixed time.

NOTE:
- Date and Time: December 20th, 2021 (Mon.) 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
* The inventory work area will become off-limits.
* The other areas of the library are available,
but please note that some noises can be expected.
* If you would like to use a material in the off-limits areas,
please ask the library staff.
* The library materials left on desks or tables will be returned
to the shelves for smooth operation.

The videos and handouts of "Seminar on how to use Scopus" (held on Nov.11) and "Elsevier's Author Workshop" (held on Nov.24) have been available. Please make use of them.

Borrowing books from Ishikawa Prefectural Library
The Ishikawa Prefectural Library will be closed for relocation as below.
You cannot borrow books from the library during the period of closure, so please complete your application online by the following deadline if you would like to borrow books from the library before the closure.
NOTE:

*Kindly please note that you may not be allowed to borrow books due to some other reasons such as out on loan. *FYI, you can borrow books from other public libraries in Ishikawa Prefecture as usual even during the above period.
Binding Academic Journals (June 24 - September 24)
We are planning to bind academic journals as following schedule. Therefore you can not use those journals for some period.We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

Termination of contracts with databases (Web of Science/SciFinder/Kagakusyo Shiryokan)
Please be informed that our contracts with following databases will be terminated as of the end of March, 2021.
(The decision to terminate the contracts was made after deliberations by the Library Steering Committee, taking into account the budget situation and price increases.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your understanding.

“Scopus”, which has the same functions as “Web of Science”, has been available since November 2020, so please feel free to use it.
