My sincere thanks for your participation.

Thank you for making our symposium such an meaningful event.
We could not have done it without all of you: attendees, speakers, student staffs, staffs, organizing committee, of course including those who could not join but showed interests for their limited time.
So again thank you (36 participants) for taking time out of your busy lives to visit us in Ishikawa campus of JAIST. We are in the process of  creating the proceedings. Also, we are planning to hold international conferences related to STEAM, creativity and innovation. So we hope our further cooperation in near future.

Warm Greetings!

We are facing the “Super Smart society” that technology replaces many of human jobs, and it encourages us to rethink the way of knowing rather than acquiring the required knowledge through the parochial isolation in teaching and research. However, the socio-technical problems arising around us are getting more and more complex, and we need to equip ourselves with a new set of knowledge and skills to handle those complex problems. Here, we have introduced STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) education as an integrated learning method. Numbers of research have shown that the students who experienced STEAM learning can have a higher chance to initiate innovations.

In this regards, we organized an international symposium on STEAM Learning, to be held on 20th April, 2019 at the room A1, High-tech center. 7 guest speakers will give insightful speeches from various point of view. The detailed program is as follow.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the symposium. No registration is required, and it’s free of charge.

Feel free to give a comment or ask me any question, if you have.

Best regards,
The chair of the symposium,
Associate Professor, Eunyoung Kim
