Profile

Alan Zhang was born in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. After graduating from Northwest University, he worked as a software engineer for 1 year. He came to Japan in 2012 and studied Japanese in Tokyo for 2 years. He became a Master's student of Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in April 2014. His research interests are Information Theory, Coding Theory, Machine Learning and their applications. Besides his study, he co-founded JAIST Eureka Club and served as the president of JAIST Student Council.
