Research on MIMO Turbo Equalization


Vision

      This project aims to develop frequency domain equalization techniques for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless communication systems using single carrier signaling. The convergence properties with the developed algorithms will be analyzed via the EXIT chart analysis. Furthermore, pure mathematical analysis is to be provided for the convergence property evaluation of the equalization systems having the global turbo loop, comprised of equalizer and decoder, and the local loop for successive cancellation of the inter-symbol interference (ISI) components. The roles to be played by the global and local loops will be analyzed theoretically.
