Vision

The main target is to achieve a close capacity-performance achieving code and signal processing design using low computational complexity iterative techniques. In the presence of interference caused by long channel delay profile (especially for broadband application), it has long been believed that guard intervals (GI) have to be added to protect the desired signal from distortion by the interference. We have proposed a new equalization concept, CHAined Turbo Equalization (CHATUE) algorithm. It is expected that the CHATUE project results have a lot of applications, such as digital terrestrial broadcasting system, 4G uplink single carrier frequency domain multiple acces (SC-FDMA) systems, because it can eliminate the necessity of guard interval to achieving higher spectrum efficiency.
