Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST)

Knowlegde Science Lecture Room

The Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) and the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) will hold the second joint symposium related to nano-scale materials, devices and systems. The workshop's objectives are to enhance the research level in the fields of biological, energy-related, environmental and materials-related nano-science through mutual presentation of recent results and to establish tight and strong cooperation between JAIST and UCLA.

The California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) is a research center at UCLA whose mission is to encourage university collaboration with industry and to enable the rapid commercialization of discoveries in nano-systems. CNSI members who are faculty at UCLA represent a multi-disciplinary team of some of the world's preeminent scientists. The work conducted at the CNSI represents world-class expertise in four targeted nano-systems-related research areas including Energy, Environment, Health-Medicine, and Information Technology.
