Assistant Professor or Senior Lecturer Social System Management Research Area The successful candidate for the position is expected to:

- Conduct active research in the field of Science for policy and research and development management that supports transformation in research, universities, and society by applying scientometrics, AI/natural language processing, network analysis, and related methods to topics including science and technology policy, research evaluation, doctoral education and human resource development, and science communication in close cooperation with the relevant faculty member, Professor KOIZUMI Amane (https://www.jaist.ac.jp/laboratory/ssm/akoizumi.html);
- Applicants are not expected to specialize in all of the areas listed above. Candidates should have expertise in at least one relevant research topic and a clear strength in quantitative/computational methods or qualitative/policy analysis;
- Instruct and advise students for their laboratory work in both Master’s and Doctoral Programs, as well as students from other laboratories undertaking sub-theme research, in close cooperation with the relevant faculty member, Professor KOIZUMI Amane; and
- Give introductory lectures of Knowledge Science courses in cooperation with other faculty members.
