On June 19, 2019, the Ambassador of India to Japan, his Excellency Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma visited JAIST together with officials from the Indian Embassy and board members of Ishikawa India Association.
The ambassador had a talk with President Asano, Trustee Terano, Trustee Nagai, Trustee Nitta and Vice President Kawanishi. After getting a brief introduction of JAIST, the ambassador met with faculty members who are natives of India. They introduced the research contents to the ambassador and enjoyed the conversation in a peaceful atmosphere. Ambassador Verma and President Asano exchanged souvenirs at the end of the meeting.
On the same day, "Indian day in KANAZAWA" jointly hosted by Indian Embassy and Hokuriku Economic Federation was held. JAIST jointed in this event as a co-organizer and President Asano gave a lecture entitled "Feeling through exchanges with universities in India".
