To All Users of the Tokyo Satellite:

Change in restrictions on the use of Tokyo Satellite

We will change restrictions on the use of Tokyo Satellite as follows.

1. Opening hours and use of facilities
<For the time being from April 1, 2023 >
Opening hours : 10:30 - 18:30 weekdays
         9:00 - 17:30 weekends and holidays
Regardless of the above, on days that classes are scheduled, we will be open until the end of classes.

- The lectures will be conducted on a face-to-face basis. However, the lectures, including required lectures, in which the number of students exceeds the capacity of the lecture room may be conducted in a Hybrid-Flexible method or online (simultaneous distribution using Webex) which will be known after the course registration period. Please check the JAIST-LMS for information on how the lectures will be conducted.

Capacity of lecture rooms
Until the beginning of Term II: Approx. 80% of the maximum capacity
After the Term II: No restrictions

- You may use the lounge and library without reservations.
<After April 1, 2023>
The lounge and library are available after taking basic preventive measures such as avoiding the three Cs, keeping distance from each other, and practicing hand washing and other hand sanitation. Reservations are not required.

- JAIST faculty members may use the Tokyo Satellite for meetings with students.
Available during opening hours. Reservations are required.

Number of users: No restrictions

- People outside JAIST are allowed to use Tokyo Satellite.
Available during opening hours. Reservations are required.

2. Others
-All users of Tokyo Satellite are advised to take basic preventive measures such as avoiding the three Cs, keeping distance from each other, and practicing hand washing and other hand sanitation.
-As for wearing a mask, we will announce you separately based on a notice from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
-Please note that the contents of this announcement are subject to change depending on the situation of the coronavirus.
