Ishikawa Regional Conference "International Students Exchange Promotion 2025"

On Saturday, November 22, 35 international students from 18 countries and 6 universities in Ishikawa including JAIST visited Eiheiji and Ohno City in Fukui prefecture.
This Japanese cultural experience was organized by JAIST as Ishikawa Regional Conference "International Students Exchange Promotion 2025".
At Eiheiji, participants got lectured by a buddhist monk, and then experienced Zazen for 30 minutes. They concentrated on doing Zazen perfectly with a good posture although there are many manners. The moment they spent was peacefully, and it was very new to them.
After having shojin-ryori (Budish cuisine) lunch at a Japanese restaurant near Eiheiji, participants visited Ohno City. The weather was great that day, and the autumn leaves were at their peak. Participants enjoyed the scenery while taking many photos with Ōhno Castle in the background.
They enjoyed the international exchange and they had a good opportunity to communicate with students from other universities.
