On Wednesday, March 4, Professor WANG, Shyh-Hau, Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, and Professor KUO, Changshu, from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, paid a courtesy visit to our university and held talks with President Terano. The meeting was attended by Vice President Iida (Trustee and Vice President for Student Affairs and Educational Collaboration), Executive Dean Uehara of Graduate School of Advanced Science and Technology, and Professor Murata. Discussions covered National Cheng Kung University's international educational collaboration activities and the current status of our university.
Following the meeting, Dean Tanaka of the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Technology, Professor Ikeda Kokoro, Professor Fujisaki, Dean Oshima, Professor Tanike, and Professor Matsumura joined the discussion. They exchanged views on faculty and student exchanges and collaboration between National Cheng Kung University and JAIST. In the afternoon, they toured the Library, the High-Performance Computing Systems "HAKUSAN" at the Research Center for Advanced Computing Infrastructure, the Center for Nano Materials and Technology and the JAIST Gallery.
This visit is expected to significantly deepen the exchange between our university and National Cheng Kung University going forward.
