The 3rd Japanese Cultural Experience of 2025: Visit "Kaga Iryokuen" and stroll around Yamanaka-Onsen Yuge-street area

On Monday, March 16th, the third Japanese Cultural Experience of the year was held with 22 international students visiting "Kaga Iryokuen" in Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, and stroll around the Yamanaka-Onsen Yuge Street area.
This was the first time for all participants to visit Yamanaka-onsen area. Despite being close to the area from JAIST, most of the students had no opportunity to visit there. So, they enjoyed savoring the traditional Japanese architecture, scenic gorge and walking trail, foot baths, and local cuisine.
At Kaga Iryokuen, they learned about the history and hospitality of the "Ryokan", which serves as the second villa of Yoshinoya Iryokuen, a renowned inn in Yamanaka Onsen.
Students from 7 countries-- Nigeria, Vietnam, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Pakistan and Malaysia-- participated, and some were meeting each other for the first time. Through the tour, it was a great opportunity to deepen their understanding of Japanese culture, and also strengthening the bonds among the participants.
