JANCHAI, Khunanya
I am JANCHAI Khunanya, from Thailand. While I was a master's student at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, I joined a cooperative education program with the School of Material Science, JAIST, to study a different aspect of polymeric materials, which I was researching at the time. After that, I decided to continue my Ph.D. in JAIST. JAIST provides an environment where I can not only gain knowledge about the design and functionalization of high-performance polymer materials but also envision my career goal “work related to research and development of polymeric materials” through collaboration with industry. My vision for the future is to establish innovative technologies for readily applicable materials and create high-value products. Now, I have a job in the field of material development for a company in Japan. I had so much enjoyed JAIST that I was amazed at how quickly time had passed.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my supervisor, Professor Yamaguchi Masayuki, who gave me invaluable advice, continuous support, encouragement, and excellent opportunities. Also, I'd like to express my sincere thanks to the laboratory members for their good cooperation. Without them, I couldn't have accomplished my goal and had this much pleasure.
JAIST is one of the best graduate schools. Please do not miss the chance to join here! -

LIN, Cunjian
JAIST has outstanding scientists in various fields of materials science, and its experimental equipment is complete and advanced. It is an ideal cradle for every materials student. Ueda lab focuses on the development of optical materials and the preparation of optical devices, and has world-leading strength in the field of persistent luminescent materials. During the doctoral study, Prof. Ueda's in-depth and easy-to-understand guidance on research directions, optical mechanisms, experimental details, etc. left a deep impression. During this period, our related results were published in journals such as Advanced Materials, Advanced Optical Materials, InfoMat, Communications Materials, etc. We look forward to everyone joining JAIST and joining Ueda Lab.

QI, Yun
During the five years in JAIST, I have benefited a lot under the guidance of Professor Miyako. Professor Miyako encourages students to do research that they like. My main research is about the application of nanomaterials in cancer treatment. In a comfortable research environment, I have published 3 journal articles as the first author, 3 journal articles as the other author and participated in an international conference won the best poster award. We hope that the materials we develop can truly solve the problems of cancer patients. In addition, thanks to the minor project system of JAIST, I have also learned a lot of knowledge in other fields, such as electrochemical analysis and TEM operation. This knowledge is the most valuable asset I have gained in JAIST. The research and study life in JAIST makes me unforgettable, and I hope you can also enjoy the good time here.
