The October 2023 Entrance Ceremony, Orientation will be held as follows.

2 Orientation
【Students at Tokyo Satellite】
Date : October 1(Sun.)1:00 p.m.‐5:20 p.m.

3 Orientation
【Students at Ishikawa Campus 】
Date : October 3(Tue.)- October 5(Thu.)
Place : JAIST
    ※ Details of the orientation will be announced at Registration.

        Place :Entrance Hall
4 Class and Course Registration [Ishikawa Campus]
From October 11 (Wed.), classes will be held on face-to-face basis. Some of the required courses may be conducted online.

Course registration period:
October 11 (Wed.) - October 24 (Tue.)
[Tokyo satellite]
From October 7 (Sat.), classes will be held on face-to-face basis.
Classes that exceed the capacity of the lecture room may be conducted by Hybrid-Flexible Method or online. For the method of conducting classes, please access JAIST-LMS after enrollment to confirm the details.

Course Registration Period:
October 11 (Wed.) - October 24 (Tue.)
* However, registration for courses starting in October must be completed by October 17 (Tue.).
* Registration for some of the courses starting in October must be completed by 5:00 p.m. on October 2 (Mon.) using the prescribed form enclosed in the Admission Procedure Guide.
5 Move-in Start Date of Student Housing September 29 (Fri.) 9:00 a.m.-
Weekdays thereafter from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
6 Distribution of student ID Card At the time of reception for the entrance ceremony
* For Residents of Student Housing : At the time of moving in
* For Students at Tokyo Satellite : At the Orientation
7 Physical Checkup 
*Only for students at Ishikawa Campus
It will be held at the gymnasium in November 2023 For more information, please be sure to check the email sent at a later date.

If name or address changes from the “Notice of non-payment request form” which you submitted during entrance procedures, please notify the Accounting Section.

Self-Assessment System for Global Innovation Creativity
【For all students】
Administrative and Planning Section, Educational Affairs Departmen 1. Log in to the Portfolio System (see the page 76 of the HANDBOOK for Students.)
2. Click "Goal Setting" and enter your target level.
3. Click "Self-assessment at orientation" and enter your current level.
Details are available in the Orientation for new students.
* Portfolio System will be available from October 6.
