Student Awards

1. Hakusan relief

memorial.jpg“The Hakusan relief” is located in the hall of the second floor of the lecture building of each School to celebrate the achievements of the students who have completed the doctoral program at JAIST. The names of those students are engraved on the plaques.
The shape of the ridges of the mountains of Hakusan are reflected on the top of the wall with stainless steel and Kutani tiles (local porcelain) bordering the plaques. The Kutani tiles are entitled “Birth” representing new life and dignity which is about to be born.

2. Outstanding Performance Award

The outstanding performance award will be granted to the students who complete the master’s/doctoral program with excellent academic performance. Awardees will be presented a certificate and a token by the president at the commencement ceremony.
