VM Hosting Service
This is a service that rents out virtual servers for research purposes.
Server Type
The following types of virtual servers are available
- General Purpose VM
- High-Performance VM (CPU/GPU)
Please note that your request of the VM hosting will be accepted only when the enough resources are available.
Hosting will not begin until there are no available resources.
And, it takes about two business days after your application for deletion requests of your VM to be completed.
NOTICE
* Resources for rental servers are limited. If the system runs out of resources, we may not be able to create or recreate new servers. Please request the deletion of servers that are no longer needed to free up system resources.
* We cannot answer inquiries about when resources will be available.
General Purpose Virtual Server
- Period: Max 90days
- Lease extensions available
- OS: Ubuntu
- Virtual CPU Number: 1~4
- Virtual Memory: 16~64GB
High Performance VM
- Lease Period: Max 30 days
- CPU Only Type VM: Lease extensions available,
GPU type VM: Lease extensions unavailable. (Once a VM is deleted, it can be re-created if system-resources are available) - Low over-commitment rate
- OS:Ubuntu
- Virtual CPUs: 2~32
- Virtual Memory: 32~512 GB
- GPU (Non-GPU,1 Virtual GPU (H100 1/4))
Notice
Power Control
2024.5.15, Users are not allowed to operate the power control of the VM
(You can perform a reboot on a logged in VM)
If you want to operate the power (shutdown/reboot/power on), log on to the portal and tap the power icon.
We will operate the power supply within the next business day.
Delete Virtual machines
There are two ways to "delete a VM".
- Save image and delete VM (VM can be recreate from the saved images)
- Delete VM from disk
When a lease of VM expires, the image is stored for 3 months and then deleted.If you need to continue storing images, extend your lease periodically.
Re-Create VM
If an image of the VM remains, the VM can be recreated.
Please note that the IP address will be changed.
