A network connection is required for the various settings in the subsequent steps.
When setting up at home, please use your home Wi-Fi or mobile network.
When setting up on campus, please use wired LAN at your laboratory or mobile network until you set up the JAIST Wi-Fi connection.

Q.Can I use JAIST Wi-Fi now?
A. No, you cannot use it right away. If you read this "For Newcomer" in order and have no trouble, you will be able to connect in after 10-20 minutes. A digital certificate is required to connect to JAIST Wi-Fi. The campus network (including SSL-VPN connection) is required to get this digital certificate, and successful JAIST-SSO authentication is required for SSL-VPN connection.
Q. I am a new student. I can't use a smart phone and I don't know my laboratory.
A. When you enroll in the master’s program at JAIST, you will be provisionally assigned to a laboratory (temporary lab assignment). Please use the temporary laboratory until a formal laboratory is assigned.
