(Notice) About support for "macOS 15 Sequoia" and "iOS/iPadOS 18"

Apple released "macOS 15 Sequoia" and "iOS/iPadOS 18" on September 17.

 

Some services and software might not be supported immediately after the update, which can cause problems.
Please be careful not to simply update the devices you use most until they are officially supported by the services and software you use.

Problem:
"Unknown error" during JAIST-SSO authentication in Safari after updating to iOS18
Details:
Under investigation.
Solution:

  • Turn off "iCloud Private Relay".
  • Use a browser other than Safari (e.g. Chrome, Firefox).

 

Problem:
After updating to macOS 15 on an ESET-installed PC, web pages cannot be viewed.
Details:
the following knowledge bases are considered relevant.
[ALERT8723] Network connection lost after upgrading to macOS 15 with ESET macOS product v6
The current ESET Endpoint Security offering does not support macOS 15.
Solution:
Please refer to the above webpage and try "Remove the Network filter".
* Uninstallation is not recommended because devices connected to the JAIST Information Environment require the use of anti-malware software.
