Printer

The multifunction printer is out of toner.

Please read "JAIST Printing Service Handling of Consumables"

* The replacement toner may be hidden in a hard to find place, such as under the paper.
* If you cannot find it, please call the telephone number on the multifunction machine from a user that speaks Japanese.

I had trouble with the multifunction printer.

Please contact the support service indicated on the sticker attached to the device directly in case of trouble.

  • The multifunction printer will not power on
  • The multifunction printer is broken
  • Unusual noises are coming from the device
  • Smudges appear on printouts, or unexpected lines are printed
  • Replacement ink/toner cartridges are not available where they are usually stored

I want to use a large format printer.

Please come to the User Room (I-23).

Large format printers are available from two terminals in the user room.

Can I print from a Chromebook?

IWpro Print is available.

Can I print from an iPad/iOS/Android device?

Both IWpro Print and Private Print are available.

However, each requires the installation of its own dedicated app.

Is it possible to print from Linux using lp/CUPS?

The Linux driver currently provided by FUJIFILM does not appear to support authenticated printing.
However, there has been a report from a Linux user within our institution that printing was possible by adding a CUPS wrapper filter, and we can provide information on how to configure this.If you are interested, please contact us via the inquiry form.
