You can use wireless network service all over the in-house area in JAIST include research buildings, lecture buildings, library, commons, and Tokyo Satellite (except staff housing).

Q. When I try to connect to "JAIST" on Windows, I am prompted for a user name and password. What should I enter?
A. SSID:JAIST authenticates using a digital certificate. Username and password are not used. when the certificate has been properly imported into Windows, click "Connect using a certificate" that appears below the password input field. For more information, please read this page.
Q. Unable to connect to Wi-Fi.
A. First, please read the pages on how to set up your device for each operating system. If you still fail, please come to the reception desk of RCACI with your PC during the time when the Help Desk staff is available.
Q. Can I use JAIST Wi-Fi with multiple devices?
A. Yes, you can. After moving the downloaded digital certificate file to another device via email attachment or online storage, please refer to the page for how to set it up on each OS. *Because you cannot issue two or more digital certificates, please use one certificate on multiple devices.
Q. Can I use JAIST Wi-Fi on my smartphone?
A. Yes, you can. Please move the digital certificate file obtained on your PC to your smartphone and refer to the page on how to set it up on Android or iOS.
Q. I want to use Wi-Fi on a device that cannot import digital certificates.
A. Please try using eduroam-ID for students.
