Use this when you want to use on-campus services from off-campus.

Q. What exactly is an off-campus network?
A. Off-campus networks include everything except JAIST Wi-Fi (SSID: JAIST), wired LAN, and networks connected via SSL-VPN. Specifically, your home Wi-Fi or mobile line is an off-campus network. If you cannot view the JAIST campus information page, you are connected to an off-campus network.

Q. I am connected to the campus network, do I need an SSL-VPN connection?
A. No, SSL-VPN connection is not required on the campus network. However, if you may use this service in the future, it is recommended that you review the connection procedures. You can also try the connection on the campus network.

Q. I cannot connect to SSL-VPN.
A. Please see For cases when you have trouble connecting to SSL-VPN .
SSL-VPN connections may not be possible over public Wi-Fi or corporate LANs due to communication quality or access restrictions. Additionally, there have been reported cases where company-provided PCs do not work due to a lack of administrator privileges required to install the client app, or due to the influence of the SSL-VPN/SASE app used by the company. Please note that we cannot provide support for use on these devices/environments.
